Oh I do love a good a good flying game! And with the right setup these kinds of games can really draw you into a world where you feel just like a fighter ace! Recently we’ve been playing a lot of War Thunder, it’s a free to play game with a massive range of Aircraft available to choose from and it is absolutely brilliant with a good joystick. Looking specifically at the very affordable Logitech Extreme 3D PRO, we found this joustick to be a perfect option for anyone looking to add a little more realism to the game before investing in something massive like the Logitech G Saitek Pro Flight X56 Rhino HOTAS. To assist pilots the Logitech team designed a custom twist-handle rudder for Extreme 3D Pro, resulting in natural one-handed control with a smaller device footprint making it perfect if you’ve got a small desk to game on. Having this joystick really gives you the edge in War Thunder's “realistic” mode, being able to smoothly adjust position in battles results in out-flying your enemies by getting on their tail and making the shot that counts. The six side buttons can give you quick access to the commands you want for the quick release of bombs or a devastating salvo of rockets. Below is a quick gameplay clip showing that smooth flight stick in action that we’ve captured while gaming on a GTX 1070 Gaming PC and as you can see - the Logitech joystick has us lining up a perfect shot with finesse and ease, with a quick squeeze of the trigger we’re credited a kill!
